Privacy Policy

I.  Introduction

Integrative Healers Action Network is a California nonprofit corporation, fully committed to respecting your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what information is collected from you, how this information is used and the choices that you have regarding the use of your information. This Privacy Policy identifies our practices with respect to the collection, storage, use and dissemination of personally identifying information (“PII”), and information that reasonably could be associated with you as a user (whether Volunteer, Donor or visitor) of our website, integrativehealersactionnework.org (“IHAN Site”), whether or not PII.

By using our Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will provide you with adequate notice. If you do not consent to the changes, you may close your account at any time or opt out of any marketing email. However, continued use of our Site after we publish or communicate a change will be construed as your consent to the terms of the updated Privacy Policy. The effective date of this Privacy Policy is July 1, 2020.

II.  Information Collected

Our Privacy Policy applies to anyone who visits or registers with our IHAN Site. When you visit the IHAN Site, you access login to your User account, which is hosted by Salesforce.

We have contracted with Salesforce to be our Client Relation Management (“CRM”) system. As a result, your User account is hosted by Salesforce and the information collected is controlled by Salesforce. Salesforce’s privacy policy is available at https://www.salesforce.com/company/privacy. Any questions or comments that you may have upon collection of information must be addressed to Salesforce.

Any additional questions or comments regarding this Privacy Policy may be directed to Integrative Healers Action Network at 432 Aviation Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, or by e-mail at info@integrativehealsersactionnetwork.org. If you have any concern about providing information to Salesforce or otherwise used in conformance with this Privacy Policy, you should register as a Donor or a Volunteer If you are already a Donor or a Volunteer, you may delete your online account by logging into your Donor or Volunteer account, under Settings.

Registration and Profile Information
When you register for an account with us, we classify you as a Volunteer or a Donor. Any account opening made by you, whether as a Donor or a Volunteer, requires you to provide a Username and a Password, of which you are solely aware. The login for your account is always subject to providing such Username and Password for every connection.

As a Donor, your legal name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card number via the registration form is collected and hosted by Salesforce. As a Volunteer, your legal name, home address, phone number, email address, profession type, license number (if applicable), malpractice insurance (if applicable) and credit card number through the Volunteer signup form is collected and hosted by Salesforce.

As a Volunteer, your personally identifiable information, including your name, will not be shared with nor viewable by any other Volunteers or public users of our site when you register for a User account on our Site, use our Site, or utilize some of the services we provide. This information shall solely be viewed and shared with Salesforce for the purpose of the CRM. As a Donor, your personally identifiable information will be not be shared with nor viewable by any public users, other Donors or Volunteers of our Site. This information shall solely be viewed and shared with Salesforce for the purpose of the CRM.

User Service
If you contact us at info@integrativehealsersactionnetwork.org for questions with respect to this Policy, we shall forward this question to Salesforce. Salesforce may need to access your account information, Site activity, or other contributions to our services and collect the information Salesforce need to categorize your question, respond to it, and, if applicable, investigate any breach of this Privacy Policy. This information may also be used to track potential problems and trends and customize support responses to better serve you. This information will not be used for advertising.

Using Our IHAN Site
When you visit our IHAN Site (such as when you view or click on information as to our organization of the services we provide), the cookies we use on your device may identify you, your usage information and the log data described in this Policy, such as your IP address, will be associated by us with your User account. Even if you’re not logged into a User account, we collect information about devices used to access our services, including IP address.

When you login to your User account, the information is collected and hosted by Salesforce.

Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to help us recognize you across different services, learn about your interests both on and off our services, improve your experience, increase security, measure use and effectiveness of our services, and serve advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools. By visiting our services, you consent to the placement of cookies and beacons in your browser and HTML-based emails in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Log Files, IP Addresses, and Information About Your Computer
When you visit or leave our IHAN Site by clicking a hyperlink, we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came or the one to which you are directed. Also, advertisers receive the URL of the page that you are on when you click an ad on or through our Services. We also receive the internet protocol (“IP”) address of your computer or the proxy server that you use to access the web, your computer operating system details, your type of web browser, your mobile device (including your mobile device identifier provided by your mobile device operating system), your mobile operating system (if you are accessing Integrativehealersactionnetwork.org using a mobile device), and the name of your Internet Service Provider (“ISP”) or your mobile carrier.

Other
We also collect aggregate information which is collective data about the traits and activities of users from the Site and the services we provide. This information is then shared with Google Analytics for statistical examination and administrative purposes. Information in the aggregate is non-personally identifiable. Additional information may be processed and stored from any material in which you upload or submit through our Site, information you post to the Site, communications you send to us, and any request or transactions made by you through our services. This information relates to non-personal data such as time of visit; pages visited; and time spent on each page of the webpages; referring site details; type of web browser; type of operating system; flash version; java script support; screen resolution; screen color processing ability; network location, and IP address. This information is only shared with Google Analytics.

Data Storage
Salesforce stores the personal information you provide while you are registered with us and your account is in existence, or as needed to contact you on a regular basis for donating or volunteering for us. Salesforce may retain your personal information even after you have closed your account if retention is reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes between users, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. Salesforce may retain personal information, for a limited period of time, if requested by law enforcement. Salesforce may retain information for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reporting and trend analysis only.​

III.  Your Rights to Change Information

You have a right to (1) access, modify, correct, or delete your personal information regarding your profile, (2) change or remove your content, and (3) close your User account. If you close your User account(s), your information will generally be removed from the Site within one week. We generally delete closed account information and will de-personalize any logs or other backup information through the deletion process within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.

IV.  Use of Information

Consent to Our Processing Information About You
By providing personal information to us when you create or update your User account and profile, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the terms and conditions of this Policy and our Terms of Use and freely accepting and agreeing to our processing of your personal information in ways set out by this Privacy Policy. Supplying to us any information deemed “sensitive” by applicable law is entirely voluntary on your part. You can withdraw or modify your consent to our collection and processing of the information you provide at any time, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, by changing your account settings or your profile or by closing your User account. In any event, the access to your User account shall be as a Donor or a Volunteer protected by a username and a password.

Our Communication With You
We communicate with you through email, notices posted on our IHAN Site, and other means available through our services. These messages will be sent to you based on your profile information and messaging preferences. You may change your email and contact preferences at any time by signing into your User account and changing your email settings. You can also opt out of marketing messages by opting out of email marketing at any time.

Sharing Information With Third Parties
We do not rent or sell your personal information. We will not disclose personal information, except to carry out your instructions (for example, to process payment information regarding donations) or unless we have your separate consent, unless we have a good faith belief that disclosure is permitted by law or is reasonably necessary to: (1) comply with a legal requirement or process, including, but not limited to, civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders or other compulsory disclosures; (2) enforce this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use; (3) respond to claims of a violation of the rights of third parties; (4) respond to Volunteer or Donor inquiries; or (5) protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, our IHAN Site, our services, our members, visitors, or the public.

Compliance with the Law
Personal information, profile information, or information about your activities as a Donor, Volunteer or Visitor may be disclosed when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) enforce this Policy or the Terms of Use , investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, or protect the security or integrity of our Service; or (3) exercise or protect the rights, property, or safety of integrativehealersactionnetwork.org, our members, personnel, or others. We attempt to notify members about legal demands for their personal information when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. In light of our principles, such demands may be disputed when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not commit to challenge every demand. 

Disclosure in the Event of Transfer of Assets 
Your personal information may be disclosed to a third party as part of a distribution of the assets of Integrative Healers Action Network or as the result of merger with another nonprofit corporation, the incorporation of a subsidiary or in preparation for any of these events. Any third party to which we transfer our assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that you provide to us in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.

Service Providers
We employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services (e.g. maintenance, analysis, audit, marketing and development). These third parties have access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated to Integrativehealersactionnetwork.org not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

V.  Important Information

​Minimum Age
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Act of 1988 (COPPA) and do not consciously allow children under the age of thirteen to register on our IHAN Site. Users between the age of thirteen and seventeen must be accompanied by an adult to use our services. If we discover a user under thirteen years old, prompt action will be taken to remove the user from our IHAN Site and all information pertaining to that individual will be removed from our database.

Changes to This Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes in the way we treat your personal information, or to the Privacy Policy, we will provide notice to you on our Site or by some other means, such as email. Please review the changes carefully. If you agree to the changes, simply continue to use our IHAN Site. If you object to any of the changes to this Privacy Policy and you no longer wish to use our IHAN Site, you may close your User account(s). Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. Using our IHAN Site after a notice of changes has been communicated to you or published shall constitute consent to the changed terms or practices.

California’s Shine the Light Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our customers who are California residents to request and obtain from us a list of what personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year and the names and addresses of those third parties. Requests may be made only once a year and are free of charge. Under Section 1798.83, we currently do not share any personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018
California Civil Code Section 1798.100 et seq. provide that if you are a California resident, you have certain privacy rights such as the right to know and a right to deletion under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA Rights”). However, Integrative Healers Action Network is not a for profit corporation and therefore is CCPA exempt. Additionally, Integrative Healers Action Network reiterates ultimately that it does not sell any personal information.

Security
We have contracted with Salesforce for hosting your User account. Salesforce has implemented and maintain security safeguards designed to protect the personal information, confidentiality and security of the information that you provide in accordance with industry standards. Additionally, access to your data on our IHAN Site is subject to a username login and is password-protected. Data such as credit card information is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and the Salesforce website, so only Salesforce is able to decode your information. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be a 100% secure. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. As a result, while we strive to protect your contact information, to the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our website or mobile application and you do so at your own risk. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information.

Please note that emails, instant messaging, and similar means of communication with other Users are not encrypted, and we strongly advise you not to communicate any confidential information through these means. Keep your account safe by using a strong password. We urge you to keep any password that you establish with us in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone. Also remember to log off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Notice
Integrativehealersactionnetwork.org does not track users who do not interact with its sharing functionality across the web, and therefore does not use "do not track" signals.

However, you can change your privacy preferences regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies through your browser. You may set your browser to accept all cookies, block certain cookies, require your consent before a cookie is placed in your browser, or block all cookies. Blocking all cookies will affect your online experience and may prevent you from visiting our IHAN SITE.

Safe Harbor Policy
It is the our policy to comply with the requirements of the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland.
